Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We appreciate that not everyone drives, but it’s easy to get to our main office via public transport. The number 10 bus, available from all areas of Ashford, as well as Folkestone and Dover stops along Ashford’s Hythe Road.

Reaching the Care in Kent office from here is easy on foot; simply take a ten minute walk down Station Road, and you will find us at Evegate Business Park on the left-hand side – you can’t miss us!

We don’t like to keep people waiting, so if you have been successful during the interview stage we’ll let you know the very same day, or the following day. The next step is for us to apply for your DBS check and relevant references, and for you to complete the mandatory induction training.

Once all the necessary legal and safety requirements are out of the way, Care in Kent will be able to offer you a role within our amazing team.

We’ll need to see a copy of either a valid UK passport if you have one, or your residence permit/right-to-work documents if you hold a different passport. Being able to drive isn’t essential to working with Care in Kent, but if you do have a full driving licence, we’d love to see that too, along with your birth certificate.

In order to complete our ID checks we will also need to see two forms of ‘proof of address’ that are dated within the last three months, eg: Council Tax bill,/utilities bill/letter from HMRC

At Care in Kent we support and help each other as part of a team, putting the safety and well-being of our clients first and making sure that every new member is well-equipped to take on a caring role with confidence. Part of creating and ensuring that team dynamic is in providing practical training in assisting our clients with their personal care, in handling and moving someone safely, as well as training in first-aid and medication.

We also provide training in caring for those who are living with conditions such as dementia and epilepsy…as well as how best to care for those who are receiving end of life care.

Helping people live at home with dignity & independence
