Autism Spectrum Disorder and Aspergers Syndrome

Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome are brain disorders on the Autism Spectrum. No two individuals are alike. These are developmental conditions of varying degrees, affecting the way the brain processes information. Both also affect how a person communicates and relates to others emotionally.

Symptoms of Autism

People with Autism Spectrum Disorders generally experience difficulties in three main areas of their lives or the ‘triad of impairments’, namely:

  • Social communication
  • Social imagination
  • Social relationships

Every person is affected uniquely and our trained and dedicated staff recognise this. This is why they work on a one-to-one basis, to help identify the specific needs and create an action plan to improve individual lives.
